How to Remove Stretch Marks - Do Stretch Marks Creams
Work?
Stretch marks are considered a disgrace. They are often linked to weight problems. Even if they
are recalcitrant, they are not invulnerable. How to remove stretch marks?
The causes of stretch marks
Stretch marks represent an extension of the skin, in which the reduced
elasticity eventually makes it crack. Thus they are the result of the breakdown of collagen fibers. Often due
to an outlet on a huge loss of weight, they also appear when the person is under treatment with cortisone.
Stretch marks also mark significant periods of life such as adolescence and pregnancy, because of the hormonal
changes and body modification. They appear as dark lines. The color purple gradually turns into pink and then
into a pearly white color.
Stretch mark creams
There are creams specially created to combat stretch marks. These stretch mark creams are
usually based on vitamins (A, E) and other active components. Their composition should help stimulate the collagen
fibers to reinforce the elasticity of the skin. In addition to this, they must have a moisturizing effect to
nourish the deep skin.
How to treat stretch marks
Stretch marks may leave scars, especially when they are old. Stretch marks flatten, even if they
do not disappear completely, after at least six sessions (depending on the quality of the skin) ten to fifteen days
apart. They lose their rumpled appearance and their whitish color, which gives a more homogeneous appearance to the
skin.
Scars located on the breasts or abdomen can be blurred in the same way after surgery. Moreover,
the pigment rings can also be treated successfully using a good stretch marks cream or oil. One obtains a weak
recovery of the microvasculature thanks to a very superficial injection of CO2. Thus it reduces the coloration
significantly, due to the accumulation of iron or melanin (pigment) beneath the skin.
What is in a stretch marks cream exactly?
• Retinol- This is one of the most popular remedies against stretch marks. This is a variation
of vitamin A, which is fat-soluble. According to experts, retinol stimulates the production of collagen. It also
contains a moisturizing and hydrating ingredient, namely rose hip oil.
• Tretinoin- (also known as retinoic acid) Also known as Retin-A, this is another variation of
vitamin A. Studies have shown that Tretinoin is an effective remedy against early stretch marks. However, tretinoin
is contraindicated during pregnancy. Once this vitamin is used, prolonged exposure to sunlight should be avoided,
as it increases the risk of getting sunburnt.
• Trilastin- Trilastin consists of collagen, elastin and soy protein. It is known to be
effective against both old and newly-appeared stretch marks.
• Glycolic acid- This acid is obtained from sugar cane. It is an alpha-hydroxy acid you can obtain from a
dermatologist in case you are looking for higher concentrations. Glycolic acid removes the exterior layer of skin,
the skin underneath thus being exposed to sight.

collagen. The creams based on vitamin C are recommended in case you present early stretch marks.
The products mentioned above are only some of the multiple products which are known to operate
